Mary Lake had a dream of owning a preparatory school for girls in the late 1800’s, eventually her dream would come true and she would move her school to a massive mansion that would attract the cities richest women to her door. Over the years miss Mary Lake would find herself at the center of a rumor that she was having an affair with a senator, and one of the richest men in the world at the time, James Fair. No one could ever prove these rumors to be true, however he was involved with her school. In 1896 after James had died her school would close during economic hardship and Mary would move to New Jersey where she passed away on her 55 birthday. Rumors say she still haunts the Queen Anne hotel where she once lived, could James Fair be there as well??
