The old bridge ranch was one of the first brothels to be opened in the state of Nevada. All of which were owned by the same man, Joe Conforte. He was a very well known and decorated business man, as well as a hugely prominent politician, making many friends along his journey. A confident and aspiring man, he used his influence to determine the outcome of many bills related to his goals. Often persuading visitors as well as residents of his property to vote as he saw fit. Surprisingly it worked. With allegations, and convictions involving tax evasion, fraud, and even murder connected to him, joe decided to flee the country. Years later he would die of natural causes, in Brazil. Subsequently his nephew David Burgess would take over the business around 1979,and ran it until 2008, trying to steal names of other businesses associated with that world and even garnishing his own charges, which are better left unsaid. Resulting I’m the closure of the brother forever, where it sits abandoned to this day. This is the story of our experience at the old bridge ranch, many years after its hay day. This is what we found.
