An underground tunnel originally built to transport coal under Newcastle, the Victoria Tunnel was later converted into an air raid shelter during the second world war, and in that time, it has seen it's fair share of tragedy and drama. In 2018, a tour guide claimed to have seen the figure of a man while he was showing members of the public the inside of the tunnel. That, and along with strange footsteps, voices, bangs and growls, this tunnel is said to be one of the most actively haunted locations in Newcastle.
